Telly actors wishing their fans a very Happy Diwali 2015

Its Diwali !! And like every year, people are busy celebrating this festival of love and joy with oodles of enthusiasm. Diwali is synonymous to sweets, rangolis, get-togethers ,holidays, crackers and sparkling lights. Everyone has their unique plan for celebrating this festival.
Lets have a look at how our small screen actors are celebrating this Diwali…

Varun Kapoor: (Sanskar- Swaragini)

When I think of Diwali the first thing that comes into my mind is the mithais. I remember as a kid, I used to steal sweets from the kitchen and hide it in my lunchbox. I have never been away from my family during Diwali and hopefully this year will not be any different. My Diwali celebration has always been cracker free and even this year, I am going to spend Diwali lighting diyas and having fun with my family and friends.
Here’s wishing all my fans a happy and prosperous Diwali!

Helly Shah (Swara- Swaragini)

This year, my family will be joining me in Mumbai to celebrate the festival of Diwali. We plan to begin the day by visiting Siddhivinayak and Mahalaxmi temple and then head for shopping. I have lots of gifts and surprises planned for my sibblings. I believe in celebrating ecofriendly Diwali and like always I will celebrate cracker free Diwali this year as well. I love this festival of lights and I have worked really hard to decorate the house with lots of diyas. I am looking forward to gorge on some sweets and delicacies prepared by my mother on this Diwali.

Tejaswi Prakash (Ragini – Swaragini)

We mark the beginning of Diwali back home by doing a small puja on Dhanteras. Buying gold is considered auspicious on this day and we make sure that we do gold shopping in the morning. My father stays abroad most of the time and joins us in the Diwali celebrations on a video call. As a kid, I used to enjoy bursting crackers but now I prefer celebrating a cracker free Diwali.

Here’s wishing everyone a Happy Diwali!

Namish Tanjea (Lakshya, Swaragini)

Every Diwali, one of the first things that we do is buy gold items for our sisters; so, I have planned to go and purchase something for my sister. Since I will be in Mumbai, I will be spending time with some of my close friends, decorate house with lots of diyas and indulge in yummy food. This year, I will be supporting a cracker-free Diwali because I don’t think it’s fair that we harm the environment in the name of festivals.

Shakti Arora (Ranveer – Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi)

Dhanteras is one of the most important occasions and we buy gold on this auspicious day. This year, I am going to celebrate it with my friends and family and have lots of fun. We will have a Laxmi puja on Diwali at home followed by a small get together with close friends. Unfortunately, I am shooting this year so have not planned anything much but I am looking forward to spend some quality time with my family.

Arjun Bijlani (Ritik- Naagin)

I am looking forward to celebrate the festival with my little son Ayaan and will be going for Diwali shopping with him. Ayaan loves diyas and hence we have decorated our entire house with colorful diyas. I have special gifts planned for my son and my wife and I am sure they are going to love it. One the day of Diwali, we will be performing a small puja and celebrating a cracker free Diwali.

Adaa Khan (Sesha – Naagin+ Comedy Nights Bachao)

This year, I will be shooting on the day of Diwali but I am going to make it a point that I take time out to meet my family and friends. I am also planning to go shopping as I still haven’t zeroed down on my Diwali attire and also will buy lots of gifts for my friends and family members. I am not in favor of crackers and noise pollution generated out of it. I will be celebrating sound free Diwali and I would urge everyone to celebrate cracker free Diwali.
Happy Diwali!

Mouni Roy (Shivanya – Naagin)

I will be working on the day of Diwali but will try to wind up early for Diwali puja at home. Diwali is incomplete without sweets and gifts and I am planning to go shopping before I meet my friends on Diwali eve. As a kid, I used to be scared of crackers and always kept away from them. Even this year, I am going to celebrate eco-friendly Diwali and not burst crackers. Have a great Diwali and prosperous New Year!

Krushna Abhishek (Comedy Nights Bachao)

I celebrate with much fervor and absolutely love this festival. Like every year, I will be spending time with my family playing cards and performing Lakshmi Puja. I will make sure that I take time out from the shoot and go shopping to buy gifts for my family. I am very excited to welcome the festival of lights and will be celebrating a cracker free Diwali. Here’s wishing everyone Happy and prosperous Diwali-Spread love and avoid noise.

Shruti Seth (Comedy Nights Bachao)

This Diwali is quite special for me as its the first one for my one year old daughter at our new home. Diwali is a wonderful time to spread cheer and I love showering gifts on family and friends. I have been celebrating cracker free Diwali for almost a decade now and I would also want my kids to follow it.

According to my opinion, we all must make a conscious effort to avoid air and noise pollution. Hence I would urge everyone to refrain from bursting crackers and celebrate pollution free Diwali.

Gracy Goswami (Nimboli – Balika Vadhu)

The best part about Diwali is that I get a break from school and get more time to spend with my family. This festive season, I am planning to surprise my little sister by gifting her favorite Barbie doll and also go out shopping with her. I will be treating everyone on the sets with homemade sweets and light phuljhadis.

Hiten Tejwani: (Anant- Balika Vadhu)

I plan to celebrate this Diwali with my family and friends and take them out for a lavish dinner. I have also handpicked special gifts from my loved ones and plan to give them a surprise on the day of Diwali. I will be celebrating a cracker free Diwali and would want everyone to follow the same. Say no to crackers and have a safe Diwali!

Jigyasa Singh (Thapki- Thapki Pyaar Ki)

This is my first Diwali in Mumbai and I am very excited to celebrate it with my family. Post Diwali, I will be heading to Goa for a small vacation. I have always celebrated cracker-free Diwali since eighth grade after one of my neighbors accidentally got burnt. The incident is still fresh in my mind and hence I request everyone to be safe and celebrate eco-friendly Diwali. Happy Diwali!

Ankit Bathla (Dhruv- Thapki Pyaar Ki)

Right now I am counting days as I will be flying to Delhi to celebrate Diwali with my family. I am going home with a bag loaded with gifts for all my loved ones; a watch for my father, a gold ring for my mother and woolen clothes for my grandparents. I support eco-friendly Diwali and have decided to light lots of Diya and avoid crackers. Wishing everyone Happy and Prosperous Diwali!!
