#PromoReview: This promo of ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’ will COMPEL you to watch the show!

The promo is simply fabulous

Star Plus recently ventured into its new concept Star Plus Dopahar’ where the channel has lined up four shows that will be telecast in the afternoon slot.

And following are the shows that have been scheduled – Diya Aur Baati Hum sequel ‘Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji’, Fatmagul remake ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’, ‘Ek Aastha Aisi Bhee’ and ‘Dhai Kilo Prem’.

The channel released the promo of ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?‘ which caught our attention. The show stars Pankhuri Awasthy, Rajveer Singh, Anant Joshi, Rajesh Khattar, Akshay Anand and Kasturi Banerjee.

What is the story about?

The promo starts with a simple village girl Amala, who is seen enjoying the simple joys of nature. She is happy and content being all by herself until her dupatta flies away due to the wind. And that’s when her happy face gets crowded with a frown. She tries hurrying home but her worst fear comes true – 4 shadows start following her. She tries her best to escape but is soon cornered and is violated by those shadows (men). But she’s had enough and pushes those shadows determined to fight back and get justice for herself.

What’s Good:

Pankhuri Awasthi is at her best if the promos are to be believed. The shift in her emotions from a carefree Amala to a nervous one, to a helpless one and then to a fighter, Pankhuri just proves why she is the right choice for the role. Technically too, the promo is a winner for us. The location, the camera angles impress us. A special mention has to be given to the way the scene is shot where Pankhuri’s character is violated. The makers have made use of shadow play, to get the desired effect and boy! They did. We’ll not even add the category of ‘What’s not Good’ as we did not find anything bad in the promo so far.

Verdict:

Pankhuri Awasthi blows our mind with her performance. Even though ‘Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka?’ is a remake of ‘Fatmagul’ which was a widely acclaimed show, Pankhuri’s performance as Amala adds a certain freshness that makes you want to watch the show.
