PromoReview: The 1st FULL promo of ‘Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke’ EXCELS presenting it’s core concept

Meet Mishti (Rhea Sharma) & the rest of the Singhania family…

As known, we finally have on-air date and timeslot set for the much-awaited spinoff to Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. The Shaheer Sheikh-Rhea Sharma starrer will be going on-air in less than 2 weeks from now and we were now treated with a full promo of the show too. Here’s what we think of the promo.

The Impact

The promo begins with a smiling Mishti as she overhears her family talking about what we know Yeh Rishta best for and i.e. marriage. As her grandma, aunt and others are talking about her wedding, we see her worrisome.

It is then followed by the vintage pair of the show, Akshara’s (Hina Khan) parents planning Mishti’s wedding mentioning how grand Akshara’s wedding was and we will make Mishti’s grander than hers and how it will take 10 months to plan the same.

The final shots include Mishti crying on the terrace of her house as Rajshri (Lata Sabarwal) comes in the frame and is talking with her. As she tried to understand what Mishti is saying, Mishti mentions a very important point as to how the wedding is going to take such a long time to plan but she wants to utilise this time to actually get to know his future partner and develop an understanding rather than wasting extra time on the wedding proceedings.

We thus come to know what Yeh Rishtey Hai Pyaar Ke is about and how is Mishti’s character going to shape up after all. The show is about the new way of things and how marriage isn’t only about the grandeur but actually about getting to know the person before you spend all your life with him/her.

The Verdict

With a fresh take at things, and to an extent taking a shot at its parent show’s initial depiction of marriage and partnership, Yeh Rishtey Pyaar Ke seems to have developed and adapted to the modern times but not forgetting what the show truly stand for and that is family values.
