We got talking to the actress about the show, the prep, and some more. Here are excerpts from the interview.

How is it returning to the screens after a while?

It is really good because there was a long break. I did do music videos and I’ve done short films, but coming back on screen is a beautiful concept.

Doing a mytho show can be quite dicey, what do you feel about it?

I don’t think so, anything in life can be dicey, you don’t know, same is the case of our lives too. Through the pandemic, corona, etc, what hit me is you live your live through and do what makes you happy and do it with all your heart.

What does it take for you to say yes to a character/show?

I think if my heart says yes, I don’t say no, it is all about my heart. If I my soul is there in something then I take it up.

What kind of prep went into getting the character right?

The only difference when we do a mythological show, which is about Gods and Goddesses is that people already have a perception about the character, about the God, and people have a mindset of what they do, so there is always a limitation and I think that is something you always work on and you take care and don’t cross that line. If you are true to yourself and to the character, nothing goes wrong. I don’t take a lot of pressure because I won’t be able to od otherwise. I am blessed to play Goddess Parvati because I am living the life my writers have visioned. As we know the story, everything is known, living that and to relive that is a beautiful thing.

You are a Shiv bhakt you say, did that make it easier for you to take on the show?

I think it can be one of the reasons because when I came to know about it, when everyone explained to me what the show is about, the first thing was like it is maybe pre planned by God and I really wanted to do it.
