We’re always on the lookout for the perfect man… and Movies and TV shows play a vital role in skyrocketing our expectations of a ‘Dream Guy’. Right from looks to die for and attitude that could kill, the hero has it all… But, once in love, the hopeless romantic will sweep you off your feet with his irresistible boyish charm and will turn into a knight in shining armour, to protect you …(blah blah blah!)

And while Shivaay Singh Oberoi is killing it on his show Ishqbaaz, we wonder what makes him ‘the guy’ who could make any woman go weak in her knees…

Doesn’t love leave us all a little speechless? However, the dumbfounded look becomes Shivaay, as he lays eyes on Anika. It is in these precious moments that we begin to go googly eyed at the screen, and also spend a moment figuring out how he’s really feeling. Get yourself a guy who looks at you like the way Shivaay looks at Anika…or NOT!

#4 He will go twinning with you

Let’s face it! Nakuul Mehta has quite the pinkish (read:natural) pout. How does one spot a couple taking a stroll through the park? Twinning of course! And Shivaay nails it by matching lip tints with his lady. Now that’s team spirit!

#3 He makes small demands

The man doesn’t need much to get by on. He can do with things like a smile, a moment of longing and perhaps a tear? It was such a relief when Shivaay recovered consciousness rather quickly, when Anika let a single tear drop down his face. He literally lives on her tears? And you thought TV didn’t have visual equivalents to plots! The point being, you’ll be glad to know that his demands are small.

#2 He makes quite a convincing argument

Shivaay isn’t just great with his “did I just get shot?” scenes, but also makes the quickest sprint to bring his beloved back. The bargain being; why wouldn’t you rush back into his arms with his feeble attempts and an evil mother in law in tow? Shivaay may claim Anika was the hurricane that disrupted his life but common, the girl sure has also got it worse.

#1 He keeps up the mystery

Wouldn’t you be bored if your man gave it all up too quickly? We’re delighted Shivaay isn’t one of them. What he cannot cover with his placid expressions, he makes up for with his wandering mind. He just took the longest time to declare his adoration and accept Anika rightfully as his wife. Now wouldn’t you love a little game like that, one that plays with your life itself!

Jokes apart, his charm, chemistry with his co-star and character development are quite an attraction. The change he goes through in his relationship with Anika reflects genuine progress. Shivaay in Ishqbaaaz, is such a crowd pleaser and we hope to see more swoon-worthy scenes of the character on screen.
