If the makers have new concepts, it will definitely appeal to the audience and as actors, we will receive creative satisfaction, he claims.

Be it ‘Miley Jab Hum Tum’, ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil‘ or ‘Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi’, actor, Arjun Bijlani feels that playing a romantic hero comes naturally to him.

However, the actor who enjoys playing such roles wants to explore other genres of acting as well.

“I would love to be a part of a fantasy thriller or a sci-fi show. If made well, I think the TV audience would love to watch such shows. It’s time that I explore out-of-the-box roles. If I get an opportunity, I would love to play an astronaut or an undercover agent on television,” says Arjun.

The actor also feels drawn towards playing an anti-hero on the small screen. “What Shah Rukh Khan did in ‘Darr’ (1993), I would like to do something similar. Anti-heroes are quite interesting. In such characters, there’s so much scope for an actor,” he adds.

Arjun opines that shows on the small screen usually have the same plot and the story eventually develops on the similar lines.

“Most of the shows have the same story. There’s a family, the hero and heroine come together and then they move apart and again come close and so on. If the makers have new concepts it will definitely appeal to the audience and as actors, we will receive creative satisfaction. I am getting a good feedback for my role in ‘Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil’ and it is helping me shape my career.” Arjun says.

Kudos Arjun!
