OMG! Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya just REVEALED some facts about the ACTORS SALARIES!

Actress Divyanka Tripathi from Yeh Hai Mohabbatein has always been vocal and expressive about her take on several issues from time to time. Recently, we reported on how the actress expressed her views on actors facing problems and disrespect from some people on sets and otherwise.

In another conversation with her, the actress also threw some light on a topic which has never really been explored before and that is the actors’ remuneration and royalties. The actress had some important insight on the issue and a part of it is sure to leave you shocked.

Divyanka said, “The saga about remuneration of male and female actors have been a much-talked topic for a long time. However, if there is something that hasn’t been talked about, is the royalty an actor attains. I mean, in the west, we have seen that they follow seasons and hence royalty is given according to every telecast. However here, we are asked to sign a contract, where a particular clause mentions that a particular amount is your royalty once and for all and that’s it. I mean, what if a particular actor who has done an extremely successful show for a period of time ends up not being able to get work for the next 10 years due to an image being set. It is nothing but unjust to them. Today, fortunately, I am doing well and I am one of the highest tax payers. However, I feel that if my tax payment is not benefitting other actors, what is the purpose of it. I really hope that this issue is addressed and is taken into account so that there is much more equality in the industry.”

We also hope these important factors are taken into account and addressed aptly.
