Meet an ‘alien’ in Indian marriage.

And TV, as a channel, may struggle to find viewership with its shows but that certainly doesn’t mean that it cannot experiment with content, right? The channel is responsible for constantly being bold with the kind of shows it produces and presents time and again. Some may click, some don’t but that doesn’t rule out the channel’s bravery. On the same note, the channel is all set to present yet another novel and one-of-a-kind concept soon which is Shaadi Ke Siaype.

The show also marks actor Bhavya Gandhi’s comeback to TV where he exited Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah over a couple of years ago. Here’s what we thought of the promo-

The Impact

The promo begins and continues throughout its runtime with a marriage being showcased to us. Everybody is happy and gung-ho about the wedding where the bride and groom are all set to complete the rituals soon.

However, there is a major development that takes place as the groom’s wig falls off and his bald head is exposed leading to a temporary pause in the wedding.

We are then and finally introduced to Bhavya Gandhi who talks to the camera and invites us to the wedding. It is only till the final moment that we are enlightened with the fact that his character is indeed an alien.

The overall impact of the show is intriguing but confusing at the same time too. It is intriguing and curious to see how an expose of a bald head is focused so much upon and how it will reveal the plot of the show. The same actually gets a lot more confusing with Bhavya’s appearance and the fact that he is an alien. It all seems haywire and unrelated.

The Verdict

The show’s title being Shaadi Ke Siyape marginally justifies how the whole bald thing is focused on and how it changes things entirely for the bride and groom, but the sudden appearance of Bhavya as the alien, even though raises curiosity but confuses more.
