After Drashti Dhami, we learn about the point of view from Shakti Arora’s character…

We are just over a week away from the much-awaited and much-talked about show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka going on-air, and we can’t believe that the promotions and promos are cutting it so fine. It was exactly a week ago that we came across the first promo of the show, which was from Drashti Dhami aka Nandini’s point of view.

This week, we are treated with a promo from Shakti Arora aka Kunal’s point of view. Here’s what we think-

What’s It About

At a beautiful and serene riverside location, two best friends Mauli (Aditi Sharma) and Nandini (Drashti Dhami) are chilling as Mauli’s husband, Kunal (Shakti Arora) enters with flowers for his wife hidden as a surprise.

Just like the last promo, the next frame freezes as Kunal tells us how he absolutely loves his wife, Mauli and then how her best friend, Nandini came into their lives and with time passing by, she became a lot more than just a ‘friend’ to him.

He then concludes by telling how he doesn’t want to break Mauli’s trust, and doesn’t know if his relationship with Nandini is right or wrong.

It ends with Nandini’s sari getting stuck in Kunal’s watch and the same voiceover saying, ‘feelings aren’t right or wrong; feelings are just feelings.’

The Good

Shakti Arora as Kunal manages to portray a bundle of emotions in this promo of a few seconds and that is commendable. He looks as dashing as ever and seems to have a great chemistry with both the female leads.

The concept is a little more open than the last promo and it seems almost clear, that the show is about an extra marital affair, but with a twist. Seems a lot fresher with the twist here.

The Not-So-Good

I fail to understand how and why would Nandini be accompanying the married couple on a romantic outing! The last promo made sense as they celebrated their anniversary at home, where Nandini’s presence seemed justified. But, why would you tag your best friend (no matter what she has suffered) along on a romantic outing with your husband.

The Verdict

With things a lot more clear now, and watching Shakti doing what he does best in a Hindi fiction show, Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka tops up the last promo and if we have another one coming in from Aditi Sharma’s angle, we cannot wait to see.

Rating – ***1/2 (3.5/5)
