Star Bharat’s Sufiyana Pyaar Mera to go off-air

Star Bharat’s drama Sufiyana Pyaar Mera which is produced by LSD Films will soon go off-air. The show starring Helly Shah and Rajveer Singh was already witnessing a dip in the TRP ratings since a few months now and so, the makers also roped in Udaan actor Vijendra Kumeria to make the track more interesting and attract more audience. Unfortunately, the channel has decided to pull the plugs, owing to low TRPs.
As per a report in Tellychakkar, the team is expected to wrap up the shoot by the end of this month. Speaking to the portal, lead actress Helly Shah confirmed the news and said, “Yes, we were informed yesterday itself. We feel bad, but the show must go on. I am happy that a show like Sufiyana Pyaar Mera came my way. It was challenging for me to play a double role, but it gave me a different experience and exposure.”
The show started off as a double role drama wherein Helly played both the characters – Kayanat and Sultanat. However, the shooting schedule became hectic for the actress as she had to work more for playing both the roles. Therefore, the makers decided to change the track and brought in actress Pallavi Gupta for playing the negative lead.
