Tarun Khanna to go bald for his role of Chanakya in Sony Tv’s Porus

He talks about his role and the efforts he is putting in to give it his best

Tarun Khanna, who was last seen in Life Ok’s Devo Ke Dev Mahadev is now all set to play the role of Chankya in Siddharth Kumar Tewary’s, Porus. Tarun will be stepping into the shoes of Chetan Pandit and will be the new Chanakya. As every refined actor would do, he too wants to be prepared for the role. He wants to look authentic and wants to leave no stone unturned for this role.

As per an article in Bombay Times, Tarun has decided to go all bald for his role. While he could have used prosthetic, Tarun prefers to shave his head for a more authentic look. He says that he really wants to do justice to a role like this and that he has even stopped going to the gym as he wants to have the body shape of a lean Brahmin from the era.

Talking further about his role he said, that after Ravan in Devo Ke Dev Mahadev and Shiv in Karmaphal data Shaani, the role of Chanakya will complete his triology. Tarun finds this role in Porus to be the most challenging role of his career and he also feels that he will be compared to Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s and Chetan Pandit, which is why he wants to give his best. He hopes to present the character in a totally different avatar and his efforts are directed towards bringing a real Chanakya to life on screen.
